From problem to decision, and from decision to action. A workshop for managers, team leaders, and supervisors, using MINDFIELD–PACE to structure thinking, analyze problems, compare options, and plan execution.
THE DECISION ROOM
Becoming a manager means more than doing your own work. Your decisions now shape your team’s performance and results.
Problems keep coming back. Your team needs direction. Decisions cannot wait, and you do not always have the full picture. You need a clear way to understand the situation, set priorities, and decide what to do next.
Whether you’re new to management or looking to improve your skills, THE DECISION ROOM helps you handle these challenges with clearer thinking and confidence built on sound analysis.
Over two days of practical exercises and realistic cases, you’ll learn to identify the real problem, compare solutions, assess risks, and turn your decisions into clear actions you can follow up on.
You’ll also practise communicating your decisions clearly: helping your team understand the reasons and each person’s role, and presenting the situation, options, and your recommendation to senior management—including the support you need to move forward.
You’ll leave with a structured approach and tools you’ve practised using. You’ll know where to start when a problem arises, how to choose a solution, explain it to your team, discuss it with your manager, and put it into action.
So you can take the lead, even when the pressure is on.
From problem to decision. From decision to execution.

About the program
As a manager, you’re expected to solve problems, guide your team, and deliver results—even when information is incomplete and time is short.
Under pressure, you may find yourself fixing the same problem repeatedly, delaying a decision because of its possible consequences, or giving instructions that leave your team unsure what to do. You may know the right solution but struggle to explain your reasoning to your manager and get the support to put it into action.
How will we work on this?
In THE DECISION ROOM, you’ll practise handling realistic management situations using the MINDFIELD–PACE method, through four connected steps:
Pinpoint: Define what really needs solving and separate facts from opinions and assumptions.
Analyze: Understand why the problem keeps happening and which causes need attention.
Choose: Compare options using clear criteria and assess the risks before acting.
Execute: Set priorities, assign responsibilities, agree on deadlines, and track results.
Through exercises, discussions, and feedback, you’ll also practise explaining decisions clearly to your team and presenting recommendations to your manager—with your reasons and the support you need.
You’ll leave with a practical approach you can use whenever a problem arises: understand it, make an informed decision, communicate it clearly, and follow through.
